Critical IT infrastructure services: information system resilience and mobility services for the largest corporate IT users and public sector organisations.

BAIP offers certified solutions in partnership with global names in critical IT infrastructure and printing and user solutions. It is known as a strategic partner for IT infrastructure architecture that has experience in large international projects and helps clients put business continuity processes and technologies into place.

The company’s activities include the design, installation and service level agreement (SLA) maintenance of critical IT infrastructure, data archiving and recovery, cloud computing and virtualisation solutions, database and application migration, hardware maintenance in and out of warranty, the CopyPrint printing, copying and scanning solution for organizations and businesses, and other fully managed services.

BAIP undertakes special projects for science and business. It designs and installs high-performance computing systems, cloud-computing and open modular architecture for data centres, virtualisation solutions, and also high-capacity long-term storage solutions for multidimensional data. The company has the technological expertise to develop unique and user-friendly solutions that optimise its clients’ business processes. It has built up a chain of authorised IT service providers in the Baltic region and in East Africa.

BAIP operates and works on projects in the Baltic and Nordic countries, Eastern and Central Europe, and East Africa. It also serves as a critical IT infrastructure competence centre for Norway Registers Development AS throughout the world.

The Bank of Lithuania, the Lithuanian subsidiary of Danske Bank A/S, Šiaulių Bankas, SEB, Swedbank, Western Union, DPD, Mars, Maxima, Vilnius University, Kaunas University of Technology, VU International Business School, ISM University of Management and Economics, ministries of energy, finance, internal affairs, foreign affairs and healthcare, the centre of registers of Mauritius and the central banks of Burundi and Zimbabwe, as well as shipping, logistics, transport, retail, medical and pharmaceutical companies, scientific organisations, and others. BAIP each year fulfils more than 200 SLA maintenance agreements.

Achievements

Two computing cluster complexes with 3200 computing cores and more than 800 TB of disk space are the largest ones in Lithuania and allow scientists to perform a new quality of multidimensional calculations. They were designed and implemented in Vilnius University by BAIP and its partners.

BAIP installed 430 online banking terminals in Swedbank‘s Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian branches and became a provider of integrated IT support services.

Midas was opened in autumn 2015, and is the biggest and the most modern National Open Access Research Data Archive in the Baltics. BAIP, together with other partners, was responsible for designing and implementing its core IT infrastructure.

BAIP together with NRD East Africa designed and installed Disaster Recovery Center, updated networks of high importance and provided consultations on centralized Data Backup and Data Recovery services for the National Bank of Rwanda.

CopyPrint – a modern printing, copying and scanning solution to institutions and companies with 24/7 maintenance in the Baltics.

BAIP CIMF (Critical Infrastructure Maintenance Framework) is the result of tried-and-true practices, process knowledge from ITIL v.3 and ISO. It was designed to provide IT infrastructure maintenance, development and availability services. CIMF is a registered trademark.

BAIP cooperates and implements various projects with international organisations and scholar community in Lithuania and abroad. For example, together with Vilnius University, company established Digital Science and Computing Center (DiSCC), and organised EGI User Forum 2011 conference in Vilnius.

BAIP is certified by ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011, LST EN ISO 140001:2005, and LST EN ISO 9001:2008. Company also uses LEAN, ITIL v.3, and COBIT 5 methodologies.
